Mixing Guidelines
In order to facilitate a productive mix process, we've established the following guidelines to streamline the mix and revision process:
MIX SESSION INPUTS
MIX SESSION INPUTS
- Assign a Point Person for all revision feedback
- This person collects feedback from all band members and will serve as the "voice of the band" during the mix process
- Individual tracks rendered and consolidated (WAV, 16-/24-bit), including any desired effects busses.
- Reaper Export Guide
- Pro Tools Export Guide
- Logic / Garage Band Export Guide
- OPTIONAL: Provide any stereo rough mixes that capture your basic goals for the song
- Mixing fee includes 3 (three) rounds of revisions. We charge by the hour for any revisions beyond the standard 3.
- We recommend listening to your mixes for a minimum of 3 days at quiet and loud listening levels before providing the first round of revision requests.
- Provide revisions in the following format:
- General Feedback: anything that applies to the whole song (add more reverb to vocal, etc.)
- Specific Feedback: for feedback that references specific points in the song, provide the time stamp (MM:SS). Please provide all specific feedback in time order
- One "raw" stereo WAV file, 48K/24-bit, suitable for follow-on mastering
- One "loud" stereo WAV file, 48K/24-bit
- Includes light "mastering" process to provide a representative volume for comparison with mastered tracks
- OPTIONS (additional fees apply):
- Stem Mixes
- Full Mastering
